About Critter Control of New Hampshire's Squirrel Services

trapped squirrels

Critter Control of New Hampshire takes great pride in our humane techniques for dealing with unwanted squirrels in your attic. We typically employ the use of one-way valves in a process referred to as an "Eviction." Simply put, we inspect your structure and determine what squirrels are actively using as entry points and develop a plan of action to seal those points after we have evicted your problem squirrel. Keep in mind grey squirrels only need a half dollar sized hole, while red squirrels need just a quarter sized hole and flying squirrels can squeeze through an almond sized hole!

We install one-way valves on the animal’s points of entry (POE) and seal the remaining holes/gaps. The squirrel(s) exit the structure through the one way valves to forage for food outside, and upon their return cannot reenter, and since all other areas have been sealed, the squirrels are evicted. This method ensures permanent cosmetic repairs without the need to trap animals (and any trapping fees).

Your Full-Service Squirrel Solution

Critter Control of New Hampshire is a full-service business, repairing damage done by squirrels to roofing, siding, carpentry and, attic insulation. We make your home look as good as or better than it did before squirrels took up residence. Seldom do we find the need to trap squirrels, but sometimes the need does arise, and in these situations a comprehensive trapping program is utilized.

In the spring and summer, this is important due to baby season. We never want to separate mothers from their young, which are typically in hard to reach access of your attic. It may become necessary to wait a couple weeks for young squirrels to mature, and then evict the entire family as juveniles are mobile then. The outcome otherwise is deceased young in your attic or wall, which is a scenario we never want to occur.
